About Arolithos Traditional Cretan Village

Arolithos is a traditional Cretan village, 3 km south of Amoudara to the way to Anogeia. It is a prototype village for agritourism with the workshops of folk arts like ceramics, textiles. These production sites can be visited. The display of the weavers in the largest village shop, visitors can see the Cretans looms, embroidery and knitted things which Cretan housewives used to decorate their homes with. In Arolithos there is an interesting traditional blacksmith. There is also the traditional bakery with stove where traditional bread with pure local ingredients is baked. The bakery also makes traditional cheese pies, pies with minzithra cheese and pies with herbs.
